Larry S. Wiseman Larry Wiseman began playing trumpet at the age of 9. Although he says his first encounter, was with his grandfather's old cornet, at age 5. Now, an accomplished player of more than 46 years. Larry has long since left the "life" of a Professional Musician, after a 20 year career. Larry's favorite style is jazz, but, he can play proficiently ... in all genres. Classically trained at Georgia State University At the age of 18, he auditioned for The Atlanta Symphony Larry made the 6 finalists; even though he did not make the cut, he continued to play as an extra with the symphony several times. Larry also served as Principal Trumpet for The Emory Wind Ensemble. Larry also played in back-up bands for many name acts To name a few ... Frankie Avalon, The Four Aces, Cab Calloway, The Righteous Brothers, The Jimmy Dorsey Band, The Glenn Miller Band, Helen O'Connell, Vaughn Monroe, Liberace, Brenda Lee, Peter Nero, The Supremes, and, Ben Vereen. Larry also played as a Studio Musician for a number of years, for numerous Radio & TV commercials. Presently, he is the Bugler/Trumpeter for his Singer/Songwriter wife ... Susan D. Wiseman - " The Tribute Lady " " Susan's music is so unique, I am blessed to participate in her ministry ... As well as, honoring those men and women who have lived and died to keep us safe and free, namely, the members of the military, police and fire departments," says Larry. |
